Christmas Wrapping Paper / Sunday December 16th @ 10:30am

Meet us at our studio in the MANY 2.0 building
52 Adelaide St, Fremantle
10:30am - 1:30pm

What we do:
This workshop is an introductory guide to printmaking with a Risograph (Riso). The first part of the workshop we'll talk you through the processes involved in this printmaking technique and its strengths as an alternative to other forms of printing.

The second part of the workshop we’ll teach you a lesson in pattern-making so that you can get down to designing your own Christmas wrapping paper. Once you're happy with your work, we'll show you how to operate the Risograph to print multiple layers of colour to create your very own, beautifully printed wrapping paper.

What to Bring:
Our workshopping tables are full of materials to design your wrapping paper with, so you can come empty handed to any of our classes! However, if you have any drawings, writings, photos or materials you would like to use you should definitely bring them, though we do suggest you bring photocopies of anything you don't want to be cutting and gluing. You only get an hour or so to create your wrapping paper so if you have a bit of a think beforehand about what you'd like to create it can make the classes much more rewarding.

What you'll leave with:
At the end of the workshop you will leave with a 20 copies of your wrapping paper design printed lovingly in two-colours on our Risograph printer as well as test prints and our Neighbourhood Press goodie bag.

This workshop is approximately 3 hours long and is designed for adults or children over 12 years old.
