Riso Storyboard & Zine Making / Saturday August 25th @ 10:30am

from 85.00

Meet us at our studio in the MANY 2.0 building
52 Adelaide St, Fremantle
10:30am - 1:30pm

What even is a zine?
A zine is like a magazine but with a twist. They are small-circulation self-published works about literally anything! Zines are made not for profit but purely for the love of making them and are the champions of underground subcultures.

What we do:
This workshop will show you the basics of storyboarding and assembling your own zine and run you through the fundamentals of printing in Risograph so you can design and print your own two-colour, 16 page, A6 zine

What to Bring:
Our workshopping tables are full of materials to make your zine storyboards with so you can come empty handed to any of our classes! However,  if you have any drawings, writings, photos or materials you would like to use you should definitely bring them, though we do suggest you bring photocopies of anything you don't want to be cutting and gluing. You only get an hour or so to create your zine  so if you have a bit of a think before hand about what you'd like to create it can make the classes much more rewarding.

What you'll leave with:
At the end of the workshop you will leave with a series of 10 x A6, 16 page, two-colour zines of your own design, as well as test prints, our Neighbourhood Press goodie bag and an obsession for creating zines.

This workshop is designed for adults or children over the age of 12.
