Our Story
Founded in 2016 by illustrators Nora and Scott Alexander-Mironov, Neighbourhood Press started with a sketchbook, a lot of big ideas, and two formative years in London discovering Risograph printing and falling completely in love with a world of independent makers doing everything by hand with so much care and intention. Small print studios, one-person operations, people making brilliant things and selling them at markets on weekends. With ink-stained fingers and a very clear idea of what we wanted to build, we booked a one way ticket home.
We made our way to Fremantle, a sun-drenched port city with the best beaches and pubs in Australia, a brilliant community of makers, artists, and small businesses, and the kind of place where you can actually feel your impact. The perfect place to start something. We've called it home since day dot and our studio reflects every bit of it, a riot of colour, overflowing with playful illustrations, bold designs, and the occasional coffee spill.
Ask Scott what he draws and he'll say places around his hometown, Fremantle and everywhere in between. Coastal towns, country pubs, the civic icons and sun-bleached buildings that locals across the country are (not so) quietly obsessed with. His work is steeped in local pride, analogue nostalgia, and a love of the everyday detail that makes a place feel like home.
Nora draws what she loves: food, flowers, homely objects and cute things. Stuff that makes her happy and feels like it represents who she is. Playful, nostalgic, and quietly relatable. The sort of thing that makes you go: that's so me!
Together we make greeting cards, stickers, magnets, and calendars. Work that celebrates the familiar, the funny, and the things that make a place and its people feel seen. Every card, sticker, and magnet we make is designed to bring a little more fun into the world, because life's too short for boring stationery.
